Wilton resident and 2013 Wilton High School graduate Justin Hawk will embark on a cross-country trip next month with plans to visit all 48 contiguous states. A sophomore at Boston University double majoring in journalism and environmental analysis and policy, Hawk will travel with his  roommate Jeremie Go.
Their venture is a project called Boston and Back that seeks to uncover how people across the country view happiness and what they believe is the secret to a fulfilled life. This compilation of profiles will be combined with photographs, videos and time-lapses from their interviews with  people and documenting America’s landscapes and maybe even skydiving.
The son of photographer Daryl Hawk, he is a sports associate photographer for Boston University’s Daily Free Press and his photographs have appeared in the magazine Shutterbug.
The two students are raising funds for their trip through a Kickstarter campaign that offers rewards including stickers, T-shorts, and DVDs.
