Writing prize winner

Former Warrior Words columnist Emily Tucker received the Bowdoin English Department’s 2015 Nonfiction Prize at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.
Each spring, Bowdoin’s English department posts a call to students for submissions of poetry, fiction, nonfiction and critical analysis.
Submissions are reviewed by faculty judges, and the department awards competitive writing prizes to the winners during the school’s Honors Day program, held on May 6 this year.
Emily is a senior earth and oceanographic science and environmental studies major at Bowdoin College.
