Wiltonian receives Colby-Sawyer Award

Wiltonian Jesse Socci, a sports management major and business administration minor at  Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H., will receive the 2015 Colby-Sawyer Award during the 177th Colby-Sawyer College Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 9.

The award is given to the senior who — in the opinion of the faculty — best exemplifies the ideals of the college in personal dignity, intellectual growth, contribution to campus life and constructive influence on other students.
Jesse, who is also completing his coaching certificate, will be recognized for his dedication to Colby-Sawyer since coming to campus in 2011.
Soon after his arrival, he co-founded the Sport Management Club and has served as its president ever since.
Jesse was a senator in the Student Government Association for two years and an orientation leader for three, as well as vice president of the ESS club.
He has also been a member and three-year captain of the track and field team, as well as the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, of which he is now vice president.
