Wilton teachers ranked 4th best in Connecticut

For its 2016 Best Teachers ranking, Niche assigned grades and numerical rankings to school districts based on the following:

  • Parent student opinions about teachers in their current or recent school districts (30%).

  • U.S. Department of Education statistics and student, alumni and parent surveys regarding academics in the districts (25%).

  • Average teacher salary, capped between $15,000 and $100,000 (10%).

According to Niche, “there may not be a large gap” between the ranked districts given the high number of them included in the ranking and it is therefore “important to focus on more than just” the grade they each received.

Wilton’s teachers were also ranked 17th best in the New York City Metro area and 89th in the United States. Niche also ranked Wilton the 10th best place to teach in Connecticut.
