Trackside offers S4 workshop for middle school students

Trackside Teen Center, 15 Station Road, will host Study Skills Basics, a Successful Study Skills 4 Students (S4) workshop for middle school students that fosters academic achievement by teaching students key study strategies that help them learn and achieve better academic success.
The workshop will be held in two Sunday sessions — April 26 and May 3, from 1 to 4.
Founded on educational research and evidence-based studies, the S4 program’s highly interactive approach is designed to clearly demonstrate how to apply students’ own curriculum and course material to the taught methodologies and systems.
The workshops are taught by experienced teachers and each class is limited to 15 students.
Skills taught through the program include planning, organizing, executive functioning strategies, as well as quiz, test and long-term project preparation strategies.
Each two-session six-hour workshop costs $295, with a 10% discount for a second workshop or sibling, which will be manually credited after registration.
The workshop includes all in-class materials, original S4 Teach Sheets for each skill taught and post-parent emails after each session.
