Students receive Wilton Playshop scholarships

The Wilton Playshop awarded three Wilton High School seniors with scholarships for their theater work and leadership.

Jack Dexter received the Wilton Playshop’s Director Award for excellence in performance, while Glory Walsh and Samantha Walsh jointly received the Wilton Playshop’s Producer Award for excellence in stage management.

“Each year we ask Marty Kozlowski to help select the students that have shown both leadership and set a good example for underclassmen,” said Janice Dehn, Wilton Playshop’s executive director.

“This year, Jack was cited for his performance growth and for his leadership on stage — setting a great example for underclassmen who appear with him,” said Ms. Dehn.

“Sam and Glory shared the award for their extraordinary efforts as stage managers for high school performances both at the Little Theater and the Clune Center.”

Ms. Dehn presented the $500 scholarships to the students during the annual Fine and Performing Arts Award Ceremony at Wilton High School on May 21.
