Ann Paul, assistant superintendent of special services, has started drafting a special education manual to serve as a “useful resource” for staff and families.
“I hope this manual will be very useful for all questions pertaining to our practices and procedures related to special education,” Paul said during the Board of Education’s March 26 meeting.
“I tried to incorporate in it all the forms [and] some information that has come out from Connecticut State Department of Education.”
Paul said the manual will be posted to the district’s website and kept up-to-date.
“The manual will be subject to review and I will keep it freshened up,” she said, “because things change and the document will be very responsive to that.”
