Planning on being a financial planner?

A $1,500 scholarship will be awarded this year to one college-bound Fairfield County public high school senior interested in pursuing a career in financial planning.
The scholarship — offered by the Financial Planning Association Connecticut/Fairfield County Chapter (FPA), in conjunction with the Fairfield County Financial Planning Scholarship Foundation — is for students interested in pursuing a degree in business, accounting or a related business field that leads to a possible career in financial planning.
The scholarship will be given in consideration of academic achievement, financial need, character and career potential.
According to an FPA press release, applications have been sent to all Fairfield County public school guidance counselors.
Applications must be postmarked by Tuesday, April 21, and received no later than Thursday, April 23. Late applications will not be considered.
The FPA Scholarship Selection Committee will select and announce the recipient in early May.
