Seventh grader Lukas Koutsoukos has been crowned the winner of Middlebrook School\u2019s Geography Bee for the second year in a row. Lukas and eight other students participated in the schoolwide competition, moderated by social studies teacher John Priest, on Wednesday, Jan, 24. They answered questions that tested their knowledge of geography, as well as sociological and historical concepts. After five rounds of questions, Lukas and sixth grader Ryan Smith went head-to-head in the championship round. Lukas emerged as champion and now advances to qualify for the state competition in April at Central Connecticut State University.
