Wilton students will return to school Tuesday, Sept. 5, next year, following the Board of Education’s approval of the 2017-18 school calendar during its Dec. 8 meeting.
The calendar approval came with one revision — an addition professional learning day.
“Andrew Nicsaji [Wilton Education Association president] called our attention to the fact that we had omitted a professional learning day — it was for Oct. 10,” said Superintendent Kevin Smith, “so we’ve added that back into the calendar.”
Because of the additional professional learning day, students’ last day of school has been pushed to Friday, June 15.
