Education board agendas now found on BoardDocs

Some may have noticed the Board of Education meeting agendas aren’t where they used to be. They can now be found on BoardDocs — a service by Emerald Data Solutions, a technology solutions company committed to “developing, implementing and supporting on-line governance solutions.”
“There are many advantages to using BoardDocs for meeting purposes,” Lucille DeNovio, administrative assistant in the Wilton superintendent’s office, told The Bulletin. “One of them being the capability of having multiple meeting agendas in a working/draft format and available to administrative users at certain levels.”
The district currently has the LT version of BoardDocs, said DeNovio, who would like the policies, minutes, agendas and meeting videos transferred to the BoardDocs site as well. That, she said, would require an upgrade.
The district’s use of BoardDocs not only improves its governance process, but also saves time, taxpayer dollars and the environment, according to a letter the district sent out in October.
The district’s use of Board-Docs is designed to provide the public with “easy access” to not only the meeting agendas, but supporting documents as well.
Those without access to a computer may visit the Wilton Board of Education BoardDocs website, nsf/Public, from their smartphones. DeNovio also prints out hardcopies of the agenda and documents, which are available at the board meetings.
A link to Wilton’s BoardDocs website can also be found on the right hand side of the Board of Education website, wiltonboe, under the Contents section.
