Drum Hill chapter names DAR Scholar

Darden Livesay, a senior at Wilton High School, was named last week Drum Hill DAR Scholar Award winner of 2015 and received a $1,000 scholarship at the chapter’s meeting on May 21.
Among his accomplishments, Darden is president of the Spanish Honor Society, co-president of the Top Inclusion Models club, a member of the National Honor Society, and a four-year football athlete at Wilton High School. Darden is also interning with The Wilton Bulletin this month.
In addition, Darden is the WHS DAR Good Citizen Award winner this year, which speaks to his involvement in his school, commitment to helping others, and dedication to his community.
“The Drum Hill DAR chapter strives to support the tenets of education, historical preservation, patriotism, and service to community and country,” the organization said in a press release. “Darden’s integrity, character, and dedication to his activities and his school are attributes which we are proud to support. We are pleased to honor such an outstanding student.”
