Massachusetts company, Forrester Research, paid $245 million to acquire SiriusDecisions, a Wilton b2b advisory firm that helps technology and manufacturing companies glean better intelligence from their marketing, sales and product development channels to boost revenue.

Forrester surveys technology executives and other business leaders about information technology buying decisions and needs. Forrester had nearly 1,400 employees at last report.

SiriusDecisions was created in 2001 by John Neeson and Rich Eldh, former employees of Forrester competitor Gartner, and employs 340 people, with both founders still with the company as managing directors. Tony Jaros leads SiriusDecisions as president.
