Service dogs get a ‘spa day’

Eleven members of the graduating guide dog class at Guiding Eyes for the Blind were treated to a “spa day” last week, courtesy of Canine Company of Wilton.

“We want to send our dogs into their new homes looking and feeling their best,” said Guiding Eyes Vice President of Development Linda Press. “Canine Company’s mobile spa and their team of professionals gave each dog individual attention and grooming services to ready them for their important future.”

This is the second year Canine Company’s mobile spa visited the Guiding Eyes campus in Yorktown to give doggy makeovers. The team of groomers gave each dog a shampoo and moisturizing treatment, nail trim, ear cleaning and more.
