Former Wilton resident Melissa Mednick was recently promoted by Bankwell to the position of first vice president.

According to a press release, Mednick is now responsible for operations of the bank’s retail banking group.

Mednick started her career in banking over 25 years ago at The Wilton Bank, which was acquired by Bankwell in 2013.

She is a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University and the New England School of Banking.

Mednick grew up in Wilton and has lived in Norwalk for the past 19 years. She is a member of the Wilton Kiwanis Club, and is on the advisory board of Stay at Home in Wilton.
