Hundreds turn out to trick or treat in Wilton Center

There were dragons and unicorn, lots of Batmen and Batgirls, Wonder Women, Hogwarts students, and monsters, lots and lots of monsters. Then there were the lone wolves — one eyeball, one Abe Lincoln, and one gingerbread boy who made the rounds with a little old man. Even dogs got into the act.

Hundreds of families descended on Wilton Center on a Saturday afternoon perfect for trick-or-treating. The event, sponsored by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce from noon to 2 on Oct. 28, just before the real deal, drew kids from all corners of town and probably beyond to collect candy and other treats from downtown and area merchants. Radio station 95.9/the Fox provided the musical backdrop, and it wouldn't be fall without a few politicians giving out candy, too.
