Village Market customers who are on a paleo or gluten-free diet will be able to sample a new product Saturday, Jan. 30, from noon to 3. That’s when Dr. Mary’s Kitchen will present samples from its line of granolas. The company was at Village Market two weeks ago for its first product demonstration.

“In addition to offering samples of our Apple Crisp Paleo Granola and our bestselling Original Paleo Granola, we are excited to be offering samples of our Pumpkin Spice Paleo Granola for the first time,” said Tom Shrum, founder of Dr. Mary’s Kitchen.

The company was founded last September by Shrum and his family, who live in Wilton. “Dr. Mary” is Shrum’s wife, Mary Frances Hamill, DDS, who supplied the recipes.

“Our family-owned business appreciates the support we are receiving from so many families who reside in Wilton,” he said in a press release. “We understand the importance of a vibrant local economy. For the same reason, we try to locally source as many ingredients as we can. We hope to grow our bonds with the community and the other businesses at the heart of it.”
