The Fairfield County chapter of SCORE, a nonprofit association that offers free and confidential business advice, will present a free small-business workshop titled Market Research on a Shoestring on April 20.

The workshop, which will run from noon to 2 at the Norwalk Public Library, 1 Belden Avenue, Norwalk, “will provide practical market research tools for startups which are easy to use and there at your fingertips,” a SCORE Fairfield County press release said.

The speaker will be Tom Greenbaum, an alumnus of Procter & Gamble and Arm & Hammer.

“He has 35 years’ experience in marketing consulting, is the author of six books on marketing, and has seven years’ experience with SCORE, mentoring over 700 startups and small businesses,” the press release said.

Norwalk Public Library is a co-sponsor of this event.
