Fairfield County Bank donates to children’s fund
In January, Fairfield County Bank donated an additional $1,000 for a total seasonal donation of $1,500 to the WICC600 Holiday Fund for Children.
From November through the end of December 2017, bank customers were able to help raise additional funds by using a holiday-themed Visa Debit Card of their choice. Customers were able to visit Fairfield County Bank branches including the one in Wilton and receive an instantly issued Visa® Debit Card with one of four holiday themes. In turn, Fairfield County Bank pledged to donate to the holiday fund based on their Customers’ point-of-sale transactions.
Stephen Wooters, Executive Vice President of Fairfield County Bank, is passionate about the program and WICC Holiday Fund for Children. “Through the new holiday debit card program, our Customers were able to both celebrate the season and help spread holiday cheer to less fortunate families in our community. Another proof point that when you put your money in Fairfield County Bank, it stays in Fairfield County,” he said in a statement.
Created in 1978, the WICC600 Holiday Fund for Children helps make the holidays a little brighter for families living in Fairfield County. The holiday fund grants wishes such as utility bills, toys for children, rent and mortgage payments, food, clothing for the winter months, and medical and dental assistance.
Founded in 1871, Fairfield County Bank is a $1.5 billion community bank with locations throughout Fairfield County.
