On March 12, the Wilton Historical Society will kick off a new monthly program called Drop, Dash and Dine.

Through the program, parents can drop off their children at the Wilton Historical Society for a few hours around noon on Saturdays and go out to eat lunch at a discount.

The first participating restaurant is Bianco Rosso Wine Bar, which on March 12 will offer patrons a 10% discount if they are participating in the Drop, Dash and Dine program.

“Additional restaurants will be featured in future months,” a Wilton Historical Society press release said.

While parents are out eating, their children will be in the hands of Lola Chen, the society’s museum educator. According to the press release, Chen has a full program planned that includes storytime, a workshop to learn paper quilling, “followed by lunch, which the children will help prepare.”

“Of course, parents can also use this block of time for anything they want — time at the gym, errands, salon appointments, and more,” the press release said.

Drop, Dash and Dine is suggested for the parents of children ages five and up. Space is limited, and reservations are required. To register, call Chen at 203-762-7257.

Drop, Dash and Dine goes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children may be dropped off between 11 and 11:30, and must be picked up by 1. Restaurant reservations will be for 11:30.
