Brookdale Wilton’s annual silent auction will have a twist this year.
The event, scheduled for Sept. 17, will encompass a ribbon-cutting in celebration of the assisted living facility’s grand reopening under its new name, which has changed from Brookdale Place Wilton to simply Brookdale Wilton.
“The name change is part of a national branding effort,” said sales and marketing manager Christy Perone, “to get all Brookdale properties across the country to bear the same name.”
“It just makes it a little more familiar for everyone involved,” she said.
Brookdale Wilton has already modified its sign to reflect the name change.
The public is invited to come anytime between 4 and 5:30 for the ribbon-cutting. The silent auction is scheduled to start at approximately 6:30.
The event will take place at Brookdale Wilton, 96 Danbury Road.
