Alper speaks at I-Day

Wilton resident Al Alper, chief executive officer and founder of Absolute Logic, recently gave the keynote speech at Buffalo I-Day, the largest one-day insurance convention in the United States, hosted annually by the Insurance Club of Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y. Absolute Logic is an information technology consulting firm that serves Connecticut and New York, with offices in Wilton and Buffalo.

Alper’s presentation, Tech Tools and How to Use Them Safely, provided educational information relative the insurance industry, covering the evaluation of the effectiveness of firewalls, virtual private networks, strategies from intrusion prevention, mobile device management and backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.

According to a press release, Alper said it is more critical than ever for the insurance industry to be vigilant where its websites and infrastructure are concerned. “Because the insurance industry by its nature carries sensitive and confidential information about its clients,” he said, “it is imperative for each agency and practice to be certain that information is protected.”
