ASML’s application to build a three-story accessory parking garage on its 77 Danbury Road property was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission on July 11.

The garage would have approximately 392 parking spaces and help the company, which manufactures computer chip-making equipment, facilitate 150-250 new hires.

According to the project file, the parking structure would be built “in the area of the existing paved parking lot, and a portion of the wooded slope at the northwest corner of the site,” and “a portion of the existing surface parking lot will be reconfigured to provide 56 parking spaces and landscape enhancements.”

Earlier this year, Wilton Assessor David Lisowski told The Bulletin he’s taken “a look at a couple other garages we’ve got in town, and I’ve got about two and a half million dollars on each of them, as far as evaluation.”

At 70% assessment, said Lisowski, this would mean “just shy of $50,000” in taxable revenue for the Town of Wilton each year.
