Wilton Library kicks off its Summer Music & More Concert Series this evening, July 9, from 5 to 6:30 in the Brubeck Room and courtyard.This year\u2019s schedule has two new bands with Wilton musicians and two returning favorites:July 9 \u2014 Inspired by 60s acoustic music, the Blue Sky Band recreates harmonies from some of the best of the era, including Carole King, the Mamas and the Papers, Johnny Mercer, the Beatles, Crosby Stills & Nash and many more, as well as their own compositions. Band members include Ron Brault of Wilton on guitar and vocals, Daniel Lanzi, also from Wilton, on bass, Janine Jandrositz of Stamford on vocals, and Mark Bisson of Easton on guitar and vocals.July 16 \u2014 The 5 O\u2019clocks takes to the stage playing everything from rock and dance to blues and jazz. The group performs its own versions of popular songs as well as a few of its own award-winning originals. The eclectic band was formed more than 30 years ago by John Lamb on keyboard and John Saxon, of Wilton, on saxophone. There have been changes over the years, but the original founders have remained at its core.July 23 \u2014 The Bernadettes return to the library for a fourth season of dance music from the 70s, with disco, Motown and R&B covers.July 30 \u2014 Returning for the third time, Steve Kazlauskas turns back the clock with his Echoes of Sinatra concert that evokes the timeless era of \u201cThe Chairman of the Board.\u201dThe series is sponsored for the 15th year in a row by The Village Market. Concerts are free, as are refreshments provided by the library, and wine generously donated by Michael Crystal.
