At its annual meeting on Wednesday, May 25, the Norwalk River Watershed Association will receive an update on the state of water quality in both the Norwalk River and Long Island Sound and the changing fish populations around Norwalk Harbor from Harbor Watch Director Sarah Crosby. The meeting will begin at 6:30 at Earthplace, 10 Woodside Lane in Westport, where those attending will tour the state-certified lab and learn how river water samples are tested each week by volunteers and employees of Harbor Watch. Because of their work, the Norwalk River is one of the few rivers in the country with data on water quality that goes back as long as 20 years. The community is invited.
