Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County has begun a bereavement support group to help individuals cope with loss following the death of a spouse. The support group meets weekly on Thursday evenings from 6 until 7:30 through Aug. 21. \u201cIn this support group, we will explore the grieving process and the profound sense of personal loss that follows the death of a spouse,\u201d said Rev. Karen Judd, an interfaith minister and grief and bereavement counselor with the Visiting Nurse agency. \u201cWith the death of a spouse, we lose the most central relationship of our adult lives,\u201d continued Rev. Judd. \u201cWe not only lose a loved one but an essential part of our identity as well.\u00a0 This bereavement support group will help participants gain a deeper understanding of their feelings of grief and begin the process of healing.\u201d The group will meet at the offices of Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County in Suite 114 at the Health and Wellness Center at I-Park, at 761 Main Avenue on the Norwalk\/ Wilton town line.
