UPDATE: - The public hearing on the proposed subdivision in Cannondale has been postponed until Thursday, May 11, before the Inland Wetlands Commission. April 17 - A proposal for an eight-lot subdivision on 55 acres in Cannondale is back on the front burner at the Inland Wetlands Commission, which will hold a special meeting for a public hearing on Thursday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Room A of the town hall annex. The application had received considerable negative public comment before it was withdrawn on Oct. 27, 2016. It was withdrawn, according to Gregory & Adams, attorneys for the applicant, in order to address comments and questions posed by the Department of Public Works and Dewberry Engineers, which works as a consultant for the commission. The property owner, LTWJ, LLC, has proposed what is known as a conservation subdivision that would involve building eight homes on about 10 acres of the 55-acre site. The remaining 45 acres, which are primarily wetlands including a roughly four-acre pond, would be set aside in a conservation easement.
