WILTON — Authorities in Wilton are asking drivers to stay away from an area where a tree fell on wires.

Old Huckleberry Road is closed at its intersection with Old Kingdom Drive because of the downed tree and wires, the town said in an early afternoon alert Tuesday.

Motorists are asked to seek an alternative route.

Police said no one was injured; the tree didn’t fall from a crash.
