WILTON — Four people, including two children, were injured in a car crash on Sunday, police say.

A car crash on Sunday on Danbury Road in Wilton left four people injured, including two children ages 6 and 8, according to the Wilton Police Department. 

The collision occurred when one vehicle pulled out of a driveway into the path of the other vehicle, which was travelling northbound on Danbury Road, Wilton police said in a report released Tuesday. 

Police said the 51-year-old driver and a 6-year-old passenger of the northbound vehicle were taken to the hospital with injuries. The 40-year-old driver and an 8-year-old passenger in the other vehicle were also taken to the hospital, police said.

Police said both vehicles were totaled.
