The Junior League of Greenwich is working with Neighbor to Neighbor to collect menstrual products and distribute them to those in need.
Until April 30, JLG is accepting donations of pads, tampons and pantiliners at the JLG House at 231 East Putnam Ave. between 9 a.m.to 2 p.m. on weekdays. Donations can also be made through Amazon Wishlist. Visit the JLG’s website, https://www.jlgreenwich.org/, for more information.
"Our goal is to alleviate anxiety around having accessibility to the right menstrual products for girls in our community,” said JLG President Jen Behette in a statement. “According to a Proctor & Gamble study, one in five girls have missed school due to lack of access to period products."
Once JLG collects the products, they will be delivered to Neighbor to Neighbor, which will distribute them to their clients. The groups are hoping to provide menstrual products to more than 250 families.
