The Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra will present its first concert of the season on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 4, at the Ridgefield High School auditorium on North Salem Road. Among those performing will be Wilton students Johnny Shiller on cello, Jason Garrelick on trombone, Fiona O'Halloran on trumpet, and violinists Krithika Natarajan and Vignesh Subramanian.

The concert will feature performances by the Symphony Orchestra, String Ensemble and Wind Ensemble performing works by Dvorak, Prokofiev, Montecalvo, Sibelius, Copland, Wagner, and Ralph Vaughan Williams. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and children under 18, and may be purchased at the door.

The youth orchestra will perform its next concert on Sunday, March 6, at the Clune Center at Wilton High School. Information:wctyo.org.
