Worker injured at Miller-Driscoll

A 50-year-old contractor working at the Miller-Driscoll renovation site was injured Thursday afternoon, July 7. The incident was called in to 911 just before 4 p.m. as a “severe traumatic” injury caused by the worker being caught between two steel beams.

Turner Construction’s Mike Douyard, who is the project manager, explained to the Miller-Driscoll Building Committee at its meeting on Thursday a steel contractor was moving equipment when pieces fell off the [moving] cart. The worker tripped and landed on the equipment injuring his ribs.

Wilton police reported the worker was treated and taken to Norwalk Hospital.
