Wilton women direct Family & Children's Agency gala

When the curtain rises May 17 for Imagine 2014: A Night on Broadway, three Wilton women will be among those responsible for all aspects of the event, which is Family & Children’s Agency’s biggest annual fund-raiser.

Julene Greenshields, president of the agency’s board of directors, board member Kristine Reddington Herlyn and former board member Dana Nickel, all of Wilton, are joined by Deanna Bergin of Darien as co-chairs of the event that features dinner, dancing, and live and silent auctions at Woodway Country Club in Darien.

Robert F. Cashel, agency president and CEO, said “The team has exhibited extraordinary leadership and creativity in spearheading this event and we are confident it will be a night you won’t want to miss.”

Ms. Greenshields has been a volunteer and adviser to the agency for more than 10 years. This is the sixth benefit she has co-chaired.

Ms. Herlyn is a recent addition to the board of directors although she has been active with the agency for several years. After nearly 20 years of law practice, she now focuses her time on community service and her family. She is also a member of the Wilton Woman’s Club.

Although she is no longer on the agency’s board, Ms. Nickel remains involved through her work on the Imagine gala. She also volunteers with Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County, the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp and CancerCare.

Family & Children’s Agency is actively seeking businesses and individuals interested in becoming a gala sponsor. All sponsors will receive recognition entitlements, including mention in the president and CEO’s welcoming remarks, visual presentation in the ballroom, exclusive marketing collateral, and publicity. Those interested may call Janina Serrao, director of development, at 203-855-8765 or email jserrao@fcagency.org.

Eighty-nine cents of every dollar donated goes directly to support the services the agency provides to children and families, youth, adults, and seniors, and all proceeds from IMAGINE 2014: A Night on Broadway will benefit the agency’s programs.
