There will be a free guided walk in Cherry Lane Park on Sunday, June 23, at 1 p.m. It is presented by the Conservation Commission in collaboration with the Wilton Garden Club, Wilton Land Conservation Trust, Norwalk River Watershed Association and the Woodcock Nature Center.
Commissioner Colleen O'Brien will lead the walk, which will take about one hour. Following the walk, there will be refreshments, providing time for chatting with neighbors and representatives of the collaborating conservation-oriented organizations.
All are welcome including dogs on leash.
To get to the park from the intersection of Routes 7 and 106, follow Route 106 east for one mile to Cherry Lane. Turn right (south) on Cherry Lane; park entrance is 0.3 miles on the left (east side of the road). Parking is available at the park entrance.
Attendees should dress appropriately for walking in forested terrain, and should register at conservationevent@wiltonct.org to be notified should inclement weather result in cancellation.
