Wilton dancers take to the stage in Nutcracker

New England Dance Theater will present the Nutcracker Ballet, a holiday tradition for 27 years, with three full-length performances at New Canaan High School.

The show will be presented Friday, Nov. 30, at 7:30, Saturday, Dec. 1, at 4, and Sunday, Dec. 2, at 4.

With lavish sets and costumes, the ballet features 238 local dancers, about 30 of whom are from Wilton. The interactive children's performance of Act II, which is often sold out, takes the stage on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m.

The New England Dance Theater is the pre-professional performing company of the New England Academy of Dance. It is a nonprofit arts organization whose mission is to bring the love of dance to the community.

Seating for Nutcracker performances is reserved, and tickets may be purchased online at NEADance.com. Tickets may also be purchased at the door at New Canaan High School.

Adult tickets are $25, senior/student/child $15, children's show $10 all tickets.

All tickets sold at the door will incur an additional $5 fee, and are cash or check only.
