The Wilton Woman’s Club was busy the week of Thanksgiving, helping different residents celebrate the holiday. Last Wednesday, club members made all the parts of the holiday meal, enough for 50 to 60 people. They dropped these parts of the meal off at Comstock Community Center, where the club’s Junior Leadership Program (JLP) assembled the meals, packed them up, and delivered them to more than 50 homebound Wilton residents in containers donated by the Village Market.
“We had a record number of meal requests this year,” said Wilton Social Services coordinator Lauren Hughes, “We are so grateful the Wilton Woman’s Club has been doing this most of the 22 years that I have worked here. It’s wonderful and the seniors so appreciate it.”
