Wilton Land Conservation Trust to have annual members’, public meeting

The members of the Wilton Land Conservation Trust are virtually having their 57th annual members’ meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 6 p.m., remotely over Zoom.

The members will vote on the Land Conservation Trust’s 2022 Budget, and elect Land Conservation Trust trustees.

The members will also hear reports from the Conservation Land Trust’s President Stephen H. White, committees, and Treasurer Michael E. Foster.

The Conservation Land Trust annual public meeting will then be at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 23, also remotely over Zoom.

The members will also hear updates from the Conservation Land Trust’s President Stephen H. White, Treasurer Michael E. Foster, committees, and Executive Director David E. McCarthy.

International Scientist Dr. Mark C. Urban will be the guest speaker.

Urban is also the Arden chair, and a professor of ecology, and evolutionary biology at UConn, a global expert on climate change impacts on nature, and an author of over 70 scientific articles.

Dr. Urban will discuss the latest research about climate change, and its effect on Connecticut.

Dr. Urban will also relate how climate alters the state’s wildlife, and its benefits to humans.
