Wilton Kiwanians welcome Kevin Lembo

The Wilton Kiwanis Club will welcome state Comptroller Kevin Lembo as the guest speaker at its weekly meeting on Wednesday, May 14. Mr. Lembo will give an overview of Connecticut’s economic and financial outlook.

The state comptroller’s office has been described as the chief fiscal guardian of the state of Connecticut. The comptroller oversees state accounting and administers employee payroll and retiree benefits, among other duties.

A number of Mr. Lembo’s initiatives as comptroller have been aimed at increasing transparency in state government and improving access to health care in Connecticut.

Wilton’s oldest service club, Kiwanis meets weekly for lunch at the Episcopal Presbyterian Complex on New Canaan Road. Meetings are every Wednesday and feature a social hour, catered lunch at noon, and then a speaker of local interest.
