Wilton Historical Society receives $1,500 grant
The Wilton Historical Society is one of 14 Connecticut heritage organizations receiving grant money through the Connecticut Humanities StEPs-CT program.
The historical society will receive $1,500 to improve its website, wiltonhistorical.org.
StEPs-CT is a two-year program Connecticut Humanities created with the Connecticut League of History Organizations and the Connecticut Historical Society, designed to help local museums, historical societies, libraries and cultural groups “build professionalism to help ensure their programs and collections remain vibrant community resources.”
The program is based on the American Association for State and Local History’s national model curriculum Standards and Excellence Program for History Organizations (StEPs) and is the first in the nation to implement the StEPs curriculum on a statewide level.
