Ninety-nine Wilton High School students were inducted into the National Honor Society on Dec. 8.
Jeannette Ross / Hearst Connecticut MediaWILTON — Thirty-four seniors and 65 juniors were inducted into Wilton High School’s National Honor Society during a virtual ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 8.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kevin Smith and Principal Robert O’Donnell offered congratulations in their remarks.
Induction into the National Honor Society is about more than academics, according to the organization’s website. In addition to scholarship, service, leadership and character are all taken into consideration when a student applies for membership.
“Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service,” the website says.
