The Planning and Zoning Commission’s public hearing on Wilton Heights, LLC’s special permit application to build retail stores and shops with above-street-level residential apartments at 300 Danbury Road was continued to Monday, Jan. 14.

The extension was made so that the applicant could address changes requested by the Inland Wetlands Commission, according to Wilton Heights, LLC’s attorney, J. Casey Healy.

Healy said there is a pending application with the Inland Wetlands Commission, and Wilton Heights, LLC has made changes, including having one of the buildings be “located further away from wetlands” on the property.

Those plans, Healy said, will be reviewed by the Inland Wetlands Commission at its Dec. 13 meeting. The commission also instructed Environmental Affairs Director Mike Conklin to “draft a resolution approving the wetlands permit,” he said, and that is scheduled to be reviewed at the Dec. 13 meeting.

The Planning and Zoning Commission’s Jan. 14 meeting will take place at 7:15 p.m. in Room A of the town hall annex.
