Wilton Democrats host P2P food drive, July 5

Update: July 3 — The P2P Food Drive has been postponed until Saturday, July 5, at the town fireworks, due to the inclement weather forecast predicted for Friday.

The Wilton Democratic Town Committee will host a food drive on Friday, July 4, to benefit the Person-to-Person (P2P) Emergency Food Pantry in Norwalk.

P2P relies on food donations and was able to provide food for nearly 550,000 meals in 2013.

P2P encourages people to drop off any non-perishable items at the Wilton DTC booth on School Road between 5:30 and 9:30 tomorrow. The P2P has a particular need for canned fruit, cereal, cookies, juice, peanut butter and jelly.

During the food drive, P2P will also accept donations for the Frivolity Bowl at noon on the girls' softball field at Wilton High School.
