Wilton Constable candidate: Lianne Acosta-Rua
Lianne Griswold Acosta-Rua
Current job: I have recently started working again as a consultant for a start-up company and enjoy the challenges of launching a new business. Organization, keeping order and broad work responsibilities are things I enjoy about my current position and can apply in this office.
The most important issue in this election: Wilton’s best interests are in my blood as I have been fortunate enough to live here most of my life. Volunteerism is close to my heart as my parents have given back to our great town since they moved here in 1976. I will do anything to help my town grow and become a better place for our residents. I look forward to helping in any capacity that is needed as Constable.
Family: I have lived here for 31 years and graduated in 1985 from Wilton High School. My family, the Griswolds, moved to Wilton in 1976. I graduated from WHS in 1985 and returned with my husband and children in 2003. I have a daughter Daria, a senior at Furman University, a son Gaston, a sophomore at the University of Denver and another son Andrew who is a freshman at the Wilton High School.
Previous elected offices, community group affiliations: Secretary of the Wilton Republican Town Committee since 2005. Chairman of the RTC subcommittee for Public Safety from 2016-2018, and Chairman of the RTC subcommittee for the Board of Finance from 2014-2016.
