Wilton Acres matter continued to June 10

On Tuesday, the Planning and Zoning Commission granted to continue a public hearing on a subdivision application until its next meeting on Monday, June 10. The applicant, Margaret DeRose, and her attorney requested the continuance at the May 28 commission meeting..

The application seeks to subdivide land at 5 Wilton Acres Road into two one-acre parcels, with the intent to build a second home on the property.

Several neighbors of the property voiced opposition to the plan when the public hearing was opened at the commission’s previous meeting on May 13. The plan would divide the land into oddly shaped parcels, which would cause the second home to be built in close proximity to existing buildings.

No other business was discussed at the meeting. The commission will take up a plan by the Montessori Association to expand its parking area at 34 Whipple Road on June 10.
