The Wilton Y Wahoos recently hosted an anniversary banquet celebrating ‘40 years of Developing Excellence in Young People’ and inducted two coaches and seven swimmers who qualified for Olympic trials into the Wahoo Hall of Fame. During the evening, live and silent auctions raised money for AmeriCares to help Connecticut families displaced by Storm Sandy as well as local need-based swim scholarships.

The celebration held at Rolling Hills Country Club was attended by Wahoo alumni, parents and coaches along with young athletes who are members of the team program.

The Wilton Wahoos National Men’s team won the 2013 YMCA Short Course National title with the women finishing eighth and the team placing fourth overall in Greensboro, N.C. this month.
