Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County is seeking mature, compassionate individuals from Wilton to serve as patient support volunteers. Patient support volunteers visit homebound adults who may be experiencing loneliness, personal loss, bereavement, life transitions or chronic illness and they provide companionship and counseling for one hour a week.
Those who are interested may register to participate in a three-session training course which is scheduled to run Oct. 19-21, from 10 until 1 each day. The training sessions will be held at the nursing agency’s in Suite 114 at the Health and Wellness Center, 761 Main Avenue, in Norwalk.
