The Wilton Board of Selectmen unanimously voted Monday, June 1, to re-appoint Nancy McManus and appoint Kim Healy for three-year terms on the Wilton Library Association Board.
McManus has served three years on the Wilton Library Association and has agreed to re-up for another three years.
Healy, who the board interviewed in an executive session before the June 1 meeting, is “very qualified,” said Selectman Jim Saxe, who ran the meeting while First Selectman Bill Brennan is away on vacation.
“She has served on a number of boards, including the Norwalk Library Board,” he said. “She’s a CPA, which is great — we always like to see CPAs our boards, and she’s really excited to join.”
Healy will be replacing Glen Hemmerle — whose term expires at the end of June — on the board.
Selectman Michael Kaelin took time to recognize Hemmerle’s work on the board, of which he is currently the vice president and chair of its nominating committee.
“He’s completing two full terms and he’s done double-duty by serving on the Board of Education also,” said Kaelin. “He’s going to be missed on the Wilton Library Board and he’s very much appreciated for his service there.”
