Turf application gets a last look

The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a final public hearing for the proposed renovation of Middlebrook Field’s natural grass to artificial turf at its meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 7:15 p.m.
Though the commission had previously expressed interest in moving the meeting to a larger venue due to the high volume of public interest, it was unable to secure a bigger space.
Therefore, the meeting will take place at its usual setting, in Room A of the town hall annex.
The proposal has already been approved by the Board of Selectmen and the Inland Wetlands Commission.
If the Planning and Zoning Commission votes to approve the application, the applicant, Wilton Youth Football’s final steps will be to acquire a building permit and submit a site application to the commission.
