Town cleanup is set for April 6

To  usher in the spring season, the Wilton Conservation Commission is organizing the annual Townwide Community Cleanup on Saturday, April 6, from 9 to noon.

Volunteers are invited to work on their own neighborhoods or meet up with other volunteers at the gazebo at the Town Green where work gloves, garbage bags and trash collection will be available.

Organizers will dispatch teams to target areas that are especially unsightly. A list of sites will be posted April 6, or volunteers may contact the conservation commission in advance for an assignment. The Norwalk River is always in need of attention, a press release from the commission said.

Pinocchio’s Pizza is supporting the cleanup effort by donating vouchers for a free slice of cheese pizza for all volunteers.
