Tonight's 44 Westport Road hearing is canceled

A public hearing scheduled for this evening on an application to build 20 units of high-density housing at 44 Westport Road has been canceled.

The applicant, Patrick Downend, has withdrawn the application — but plans to resubmit soon.

Regardless, the plan will not be discussed by the Planning & Zoning Commission until it is resubmitted. Town Planner Bob Nerney said he expects the new application will be placed on the docket no earlier than Labor Day.

Tonight's meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission will be held at the Cider Mill Cafeteria at 7:15, as was legally noticed. (Earlier, What's Happening in Wilton reported the meeting would take place at town hall, but it is still at Cider Mill.)

The board will entertain a continued public hearing regarding construction of paddle tennis courts at Rolling Hills Country Club, and will accept a site development application regarding property at 84 Old Driftway Road.
